Developed In The Dark - Trusting God's Process

Developed in the Dark: Trusting God’s Process

Opening Scriptures

John 16:33

James 1:2

There Is Provision in the Process

Exodus 17:1–7

Key Thought: Even in dry places, God provides. The wilderness is not punishment—it is preparation.

Moses: When Self-Will Leads to the Wilderness

Exodus 2:11–22

Key Thought: When we move ahead of God, we can end up in a wilderness season. But even there, God still

covers, shapes, and redirects us.

David: Pressure Will Push You Somewhere

1 Samuel 21:10–15 (Gath)

Key Thought: Pressure will either: Push you toward God, or Drive you into places you never thought you’d go

Where you run in pressure reveals what you trust.

The Cave Becomes the Classroom

1 Samuel 22:1–5

Key Thought: What feels like isolation is often instruction. God develops you in private before He displays you

in public.

Integrity Is Tested in the Dark

1 Samuel 24:1–22

Key Thought:David was in the wilderness, but his integrity was tested in the cave.

You don’t prove who you are in public, you prove who you are when no one is watching.

Jesus: Our Example in the Wilderness

Luke 4:1–14

Key Thought: Jesus passed the ultimate test in the wilderness.

He shows us: The wilderness is not where God leaves you. It’s where God confirms you!

Closing Scripture

Philippians 1:6

Don’t judge what God is doing by how it looks right now. What starts in the dark…is being developed for

something greater! Trust the process!
